At Highlands MindCare, PLLC, formerly FirStep, LLC, we have been treating patients with substance use disorders for over 17 years. We primarily specialize in the treatment of opioid use disorder but are available to help patients struggling with alcohol and other drug problems. Our clinic is a licensed office based opioid treatment facility (OBOT) with the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuses Services.
Every person on our staff is committed to treating each patient with respect and compassion. We insist that no one feels like they are just a number or has to endure the stigma of substance use disorder. Each physician spends time directly with the patient at each visit, providing assessment and counseling. We treat each patient as an individual and create an individual treatment plan. Medication treatment will continue as long as it is needed but we also make an effort to taper patients off of buprenorphine whenever they are able. We genuinely enjoy seeing lives change for the better here.
As a new patient of Highlands MindCare, PLLC, you will receive a comprehensive medical assessment to determine if you meet the criteria for medication assisted treatment. Treatments will then include observed drugs screens, counseling and case management weekly. After stabilization, usually after the first month, patients are seen monthly.
Highlands MindCare, PLLC, is in network with Amerigroup and BlueCare. Please contact us for details on pricing. We use Reimbursify (an online/mobile app) to help patients easily access out of network benefits for their visit.
